The Way to a Girl's Heart is Through Her Stomach. ...Bonus Points, Apparently, If You Have a Monocle.

In the van on the way home from school today:  "Mom, I have two new boyfriends - Biscuit and Mr. Peanut. That's not what their moms named them, but that's what I call them. They call me Hot Fudge Sundae."

I discovered this morning that Biscuit (aka, Dillon) and Mr. Peanut (aka, Michael) really like her. I also think (based on our little chat) that she named herself "Hot Fudge Sundae." I laugh every time I read this post.

OMGoodness...I am laughing hysterically! It's better than two names a mom instilled in her kindergarten sons as they came through several years ago: Doodlebug and Goober...GOOD TIMES! They didn't even KNOW their real names, seriously! Way cute, Kristy...thanks for the smile!

Sometimes the things she says - it's all I can do not to ROLL on the floor!! And she has no idea how funny she is. She's always saying, "What, Mom...what is it??" when I start snorting. I'd love to meet Biscuit and Mr. Peanut. I'm sure she has them toeing the line at recess! :-D

This is making me sad. My daughter would come home in elementary and tell me the nicknames her and the boys would call each other, usually food related. Now she is starting high school and calls them doughnuts.

Love,
Allison

Oh my gosh, Allison - I can't believe Abby is starting HIGH SCHOOL! I remember when you guys came to visit us in ABQ and she spent the whole time hunting "special rocks" in our backyard. Poor girl had quite the time culling it down to just one bucket, like Daddy had requested! Ahhh, those were the days! :-)
