Mama's Got A Brand New 'Do!

This is what I spent a blissful kid-free two hours doing yesterday evening. Highlights, to cover my fine crop of "God's highlights", as Lisa calls them. And a new choppy 'do. (Which is super CURLY right now, thanks to good 'ole Arkansas humidity.)

(Edited to add:) Okay. So maybe it's not a "brand new 'do". As Russ pointed out, I've had this style before. But it is two inches shorter than it was yesterday. And definitely different than I was wearing it at Christmas.

When you have those two pictures side by side you look just like your daughter. I would never guess that she was adopted. I guess it was just meant to be!

It's funny. People say that a lot - that we look alike. And while I don't think we look very similar NOW, pictures of me at Sophie's age look VERY much like her. So much so that she thinks it IS her when we show her a shot and ask her who it is.

Wacky stuff, huh? =)

So, it's summer - glad to see that you changed up your 'do! There's just something about spring and summer that makes us gals just wanna color and cut! You hair looks sooo cute, and I have to say that I am jealous of the amazing curl. I don't think you'd have any problem with the curls out here in AZ!

Cheech, I like your hair; I love the curliness of it. Reminds me of my little girl with the ringlets. Love, Mooms

Yeah, when we lived in Albuquerque, my hair was much less curly. It took some major assistance from products to get the kind of curl I have naturally here.

Aw. I've returned to being "the girl with the curl". Of course, now it's the-girl-with-the-curl-who-covers-her-gray! Hee. =)

Very cute! I think shorter makes you look younger too.

I love your do!! Very cute and hip. Me - being thin-haired and pea-headed - can't be real creative when it comes to hair. You look cute no matter what way you wear it! I especially like it when you add an ace bandage to your forehead. Just wrap and squeeze. HA.
Miss you and love you.
*Hey,...where's WOO PIG? Do I need to send you money? Wait!!, don't answer that second question because I already owe you my right arm and a kidney...

ooh la la! I LIKE it! Very spunky and fun.

Happier Girl,

Thanks! Younger looking - that's definitely my goal. Especially now that my kid is adding to my gray hair count faster than I can cover them up!

Oh, no! I forgot about Woo Pig! Crikies, buddy, sorry about that. I'll put it in the mail tomorrow (providing I can figure out where the heck I put it). No kidney payment necessary. =)

Spunky and fun - yes! That's what I want to be!!

Oh, poop, I just realized Russ is signed into my account. I'm "anonymous" now. -Kristy

I love it! Including the curls. I spent about four hours on Fri. doing the same thing. Must be something in the Arkansas air-like spring! Sounds much better than my baby sis's suggestion that I was having a mid-life crisis.
