A Mani Family Christmas

Getting some pretty snazzy pictures, including a long-overdue Family Photo, is a tad easier when your brother is an amazing photographer. Thanks, Walt! Personally, I think the one of Fafa, Mooms, and the grandkids should be blown up to poster-size and put over the mantle. It's so good! ...Oh, and the one of mom and dad with their three goofball children (Kung Fu Spider-man, Torpedo Boy, and I'd-Like-To-Jump-But-I-Just-Can't-Get-Off-The-Ground Girl) is mighty fine, and frame-worthy as well.

Kris...LOVE the new (short) 'do!

And it looks like Zach needs to be in the next Spider-Man movie!

Great pic of the grandparents and grandkids, too.

Those are great photos! I love the one of you Russ and Sophie, and the one of Bob & Suzanne with you three kids goofing off in the background.

It was great to see you and the others, hopefully next time I'll catch Russ and Sophie!

Mark,

Thanks! Yeah, I like the short highlighted (aka "gray covered") 'do better too. I know - Zach is hilarious in that shot!

Shayna,

The one of mom and dad and the kids is one of my favorites too. Too cute!! It was great to see you!

Happy New Year from England!
Lovely photos. The girls will be pleased to see them in the morning as they have 'the Mummy 'in them too!!Hope you all had a good Christmas. Is that really snow in the background? Lucky things!!

Sal,

Yep. Snow for Christmas!! It was so pretty. The flakes were HUGE - the size of silver dollars. It was very Winter Wonderland-y.

Glad the girls will approve of the fact that "the mummy" is in the pics. They can thank Walt and his mad photo-taking skills for that. =)

Such GREAT pics! Your mom and dad look so fun. I bet Christmas is 95% laughs and 5% all-the-other-emotions.

I just read the comments. You can thank me for the 5%. Sorry. But, maybe, hopefully, for part of the 95%, too.

You picked my favorite picture of Dad, me, and the grandchildren. And, also my favorite artsy shot of the 5 original Mani.

I just went back to the Christmas post and finally the last picture had come up, the one of you and me. It's such a good shot of you. Walt did a tremendous job of photographing the family. Dad and I looked at all the pictures he had downloaded to our computer, and it's going to be a daunting task trying to decide among all the shots which few to print into 5x7s and 8x10s. I think I've decided to reprint the one you picked of us with the grandchildren. Although several of the other ones are as good, that one represents our relaxed personalities better. Love, Mooms

Val,

Yes, my parents are MUCHO fun! We always have a great time when we're home.

Auntie Sarita was telling us about the Cranium "whoops". That is hilarious! And totally sounds like something I would do!

Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas. We had a BLAST hanging out the past few days with Sarah, Jackson, and your bro here at our house. Sarah is so stinking sweet and always so much fun. Jackson is an absolute DOLL. We just wanted to squeeeeze him. And Dave is so easy-going and pleasant to be around. It was great!! =)

Mooms,

Ah, yes, you were (understandably) responsible for the 5% "not fun" this year. You get the Academy Award for Most Impressive Melt-Down. Woo hoo!! Make sure in your acceptance speech you thank Walt and Annie for their big Relocation Project. (Hee.) But, as you so aptly pointed out, you are ALWAYS responsible for the 95% laughs! (So we definitely forgive you for the occasional all-the-other-emotions - as Val called it.) =)

Yeah, Walt (as always) got some great pictures! The artsy shot is a HOOT. Walt looks like a torpedo about to blast off. I'm a firecracker glued to the ground. And Zach is Super Kungfoo Spider-Man. (While you and dad stand in the front looking SO CUTE! And proud of your three Goofball offspring.) And I LUUUUUUUUVE the shot of you and Faf with the grandkids. Definitely representative of everybody's personality and sooooo very cute! Nora in her Baby Legs - don't you just want to eat her up!!

ok, the last 2 are, by far, my favorites. The family shot of you guys is a hoot. I love Zach's pose!

And the one of the grandparents with the grandkids is adorable! If I were Mooms, I'd blow that one up and hang it over my mantle. So precious!

Thanks again for a great weekend! It was so fun to see you guys...this WILL NOT happen again. (waiting 3 years bit) Let's set some goals. Once a year?

Kristy said...

Hey, Sarah, yes. Definitely we need to set some goals.

At LEAST once a year.

But I would be willing to try my darndest to come to Mena with Sophs whenever you're at your mom and dad's. It's such a quick trip, it would be worth it to jet over (even if it's just a day) to see you guys whenever you're back. =)
