Party Like It's 1999!!

We just wanted to thank everybody who has been praying about the house situation...

I'm thrilled to report, we are no longer the owners of two houses. As of this afternoon, around 4:17 p.m. approximately (that's for you, Brett), we closed on our Albuquerque house!

The title company just called and said not to "officially" celebrate until we're holding the closing check (in case it gets hijacked or something along the way), but she said she FedEx'd it to us this afternoon, and we should have it in our grubby little hands sometime tomorrow.

WOO HOOOOOOOOOO!

Oh my gosh, what a huge answer to prayer. Thank you, Lord.

******

And you wanna know an added nifty detail to this story? Remember the investor who bought the house back in July (a.k.a Mr. You-Concealed-Your-Attic)? Well, the title company told us (after the fact, thank goodness) that he ended up bailing - just leaving us high and dry. But the woman working with him in Albuquerque managed to find another investor, and he is the one who closed on the house today. An added nifty detail? She had the title company tell the original investor that since he had bailed, he forfeited all $4000 of his earnest money. She told us not to worry about "fighting for it", it was ours to keep.

So now we're off to party it up Prince-style. Our version: dining at the Dixie Cafe, purchasing a Christmas tree at Target, and swinging by Shakes for some frozen custard. Woo! We're just wild, aren't we? ...But rest assured, we're partying big-time on the inside.

Anybody feel like screaming a big 'ole YEEHAW with us?!

The Lord works in mysterious ways. We would like all the pieces to fall in place just the way we think they sould and in our time, but He has something even better in mind and it's in His time. The Lord pays pretty good interest too! We're really happy for you. Have a great celebration and we'll see you for the official Thanksgiving next Thursday. Faf

Whoopie!!!! I'm so excited for y'all and so grateful to God that He has done this great thing for you! What an answer to prayer. Our church secretary called me this afternoon about the closing today. I told her that I didn't know yet, but would let her know as soon as I did. I'll call her in the morning. GBC will be happy to hear! What a relief. Now you can celebrate Thanksgiving with relief and another thing for which to be thankful. Love, Mooms
